The World Forum on the Social and Solidarity Economy is held from May 1 to 6, 2023 in Dakar. 

In every country in the world, youth is the future. This reality takes on even more meaning in Africa, where young people under the age of 35 represent two-thirds of the continent’s population. The GSEF gives an important place to the youth who create social and economic values for a more just and equitable world.

This is how the Consortium Jeunesse Sénégal (CJS) with the Direction of Youth and Associative Life of the City of Dakar are organizing the Pre-forum, dedicated to the youth of the SSE on May 1st and 2nd 2023 on the theme “Collective and sustainable entrepreneurship for territories: inclusion answers for young people here and abroad!”

The Jeun’ESS pre-forumaims to bring together 2,000 participants and 100 speakers from over 20 countries in Dakar, and 30,000 participants online. 

Workshops for sharing experiences, artistic performances and opportunity fairs (employment, entrepreneurship, research, social innovation, solidarity economy etc.) are planned.

The objectives of this SSE Youth Pre-Forum are to:

• Bringing together young people from different cities around the world.
• To make the projects of the youth in the Social and Solidarity Economies shine
• Give youth a privileged place in the activities and listen to their ideas for solutions.
• To co-construct and propose concrete actions for the actors of the SSE in Senegal. 

One of the key activities of the Jeun’ESS Pre-forum is the Development Goals Villaget Sustainable (ODD). This village will be composed of 17 stands (one stand per SDG), where innovators from different countries of the world will exhibit their solutions. We are looking for innovative, high-impact solutions to achieve the SDGs.
